Normalizing conversations around menstruation
About Amu4her
We are a youth-led nonprofit working to break the stigma around periods. What started as a small idea grew into a global effort: today we operate across 20 countries and 11 U.S. states, powered by volunteers who believe no girl should feel ashamed of something so natural.
Our Mission
Too many girls grow up learning that periods are something to hide. We're changing that. Through volunteer-written letters, education, and community, we're making menstruation something girls can talk about openly: with confidence instead of embarrassment.
Why It Started
Amu4Her began from a personal experience with period stigma at a young age in the educational setting. It grew out of a simple belief: the conversation around menstruation needs to change, and that women can be the ones to change it.
